In everything we do, we consciously focus on the economic dimension of sustainability – not because ecology and social issues are less important to us, but because we are convinced of this: Only the balanced interplay of economy, ecology and social issues creates genuine, long-term sustainability.

Economic activity forms the basis for stable jobs, future-oriented investments and the continuous development of our processes. This economic stability in turn enables us to use environmentally friendly technologies, conserve resources and assume social responsibility.

In the sustainability goals and measures we have formulated, we want to ensure that Topstar continues to make progress on its chosen path as a responsible company.
We are aware that our products have not only positive but also negative environmental and social impacts on our stakeholders along the value chain. We have been able to identify these stakeholders and their mutual influences in detailed analyses. We have set ourselves the goal of improving the sustainability performance of all our activities and the respective stakeholders in the long term and, above all, sustainably.

Through regular contact, personal supplier visits and audits, the progress of these measures is evaluated, the information structure is expanded and adjustments are made. We also motivate our
stakeholders to get involved in our sustainability activities by suggesting product and process optimizations and material substitutions. This enables us to incorporate numerous experiences from different sectors into our activities and positively influence the results of our measures.

The “Kinderlachen” foundation was established by Mr. Michael Wagner in 2003. The Wagner family is personally committed to helping children. The foundation therefore supports needy, homeless and disabled children and young people, day care centers, kindergartens and corresponding aid organizations.

In addition, the foundation and Topstar GmbH support the Fischach and Schwabmünchen feel-good houses (child day care, temporary accommodation for young mothers from socially difficult backgrounds, educational and meeting places), the Ulrichswerkstätten in Schwabmünchen, as well as student research projects by Professor Dr. Rainer Wagner; he also provides impetus for new economic research.

Topstar is committed to sustainability. In our collaboration with ECOSPEED, we have found a strong partner who helps us to understand and improve our ecological footprint. Together, we are driving forward the ambitious goal of reducing our CO2 emissions and thus making an active contribution to climate protection.
