Sit, Move, Improve – Our recap of Orgatec 2024

This year’s ORGATEC took place from 22 – 25 October and was once again the central event of the year for the future of work – with a clear goal for us: to focus on our key areas of innovation and movement and to present our vision of modern working environments. New Work is more than just a trend – it is a reorganisation of the world of work. We accompany this change with high-quality, ergonomic office furniture that fulfils the requirements of flexibility, health and well-being.

The concept of New Work is not only changing the way we work, but also the places where we do our work. Flexibility, mobility and digitalisation characterise the modern working day and present us with exciting new challenges. The classic office workplace used to be the standard. Today, we are experiencing a fusion of home offices, co-working spaces and flexible workplaces. In this new world of work, the right furniture plays a crucial role. As a leading office chair manufacturer, we know this: An ergonomically designed workplace is not just a question of comfort, but also of health and productivity. With our product world, we present a working environment that puts people at the centre and offers space for innovation and well-being. Above all, the AGR-certified collection with our unique Sitness movement enables greater health and well-being through ergonomic movement – improvement through movement. Sit, Move, Improve.

Collection in a new guise

In Hall 9.1, we were able to present the AGR-certified Sitness collection in a new look under our motto ‘New Work – New Sitting’ – a fresh and innovative colour concept that was carried through from the models to the trade fair stand in the trend colours of 2025:

– Warm Coral

– Ocean Green

– Midnight Purple

People & their needs take centre stage

The classic office workplace used to be the standard. Today, we are experiencing a fusion of home offices, co-working spaces and flexible workplaces. In this new world of work, the right furniture plays a crucial role. New Work is more than just a trend – it is a reorganisation of the world of work. We are supporting this change with high-quality, ergonomic office furniture that meets the requirements of flexibility, health and well-being. Mindfulness and health. Health and mindfulness are just as important as productivity and success. Let’s design the workplaces of the future together – for work that inspires and motivates. We offer plenty of freedom for creative but also focussed work. Working from home, co-working spaces and digital nomadism are just as much a matter of course as on-site meeting rooms with post-its or colouring boards so that creativity can be fully realised.

Shaping new working environments: Flexibility, personal responsibility and creative development instead of rigid structures.

The aim is to go beyond traditional work structures and create environments that allow more room for flexibility, autonomy and a sense of purpose and encourage people to be creative, take responsibility and continuously develop. Here, it is necessary to adapt the mindset: from security to discovery, from authority to partnership, from knowledge carriers to knowledge transfer, towards openness, encouraging people to contribute ideas and actively participate in the design process. This leads to a more agile, creative and productive working environment with higher employee satisfaction, better performance and more innovative strength.

Long-term investment in health

A central aspect of New Work is increasing the well-being of employees. This is not only reflected in the work culture, but also in the design of the workplace. As an innovative office chair manufacturer, we see it as our task to support the health and well-being of employees – through unique movement. Our ergonomically optimised chairs promote a healthy sitting posture, increase concentration and help to minimise physical complaints.

This is more important than ever in times of working from home and hybrid working models. We want
every employee – no matter where they work – to feel comfortable, active and healthy at their workplace, enabling them to realise their full potential.
